To save a restaurant from TikTok or Instagram, tap the bookmark on the video. That keeps the video, but not the place: the name and address are somewhere in the clip, the caption or the location tag, and the spot is easy to forget by the time you are nearby.
Recola keeps the place itself. Share the post to Recola and it finds every restaurant, cafe or bar the post names, pins each one on your Map, and brings nearby ones back when they are useful.

Save the post
Tap the bookmark on the TikTok or Instagram post so you can find it again.
Copy the place into a maps app
Find the restaurant's name in the video or the caption, search it in Apple Maps or Google Maps, and save it to a list.
It works if you do it every time. Most people don't, so the places stay buried in their saves, and a post that names five spots means five searches.
With Recola: places land on a map
Recola is an iPhone app for everything you save. The first time takes a minute to set up; after that it is two taps.
Share the post
On TikTok, tap the Share arrow, then More. On Instagram, tap the paper plane, then Share to.
Pick Recola
In the iPhone share sheet, tap Recola, or Save to Recola in the list under the apps. The first time, you may need to tap More to find it. After that it stays in reach.
Tap Done and keep scrolling
Recola confirms the save in about a second. It reads the video while you carry on, and lets you know when it has been filed.
Open the Map
Every place you have saved is pinned on Recola's Map tab, with its photo. Filter to the ones you haven't been to yet, and tap a pin for directions.
