What is Recola?
Recola is an iPhone app that saves the recipes, places, workouts and everything else you find on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, files each one into the right collection, and helps you actually use it.
How does Recola work?
You share a post to Recola from the app you found it in. Recola reads the audio, the caption and the frames, and files what it finds into one of ten collections: Recipes, Places, Watchlist, Workouts, Books, Songs, Outfits, Products, Decor and Events. Then it brings saves back when they are useful.
What can I do with my saves in Recola?
Plan your week by picking up to three saves to actually do, and tick them off from the app or a widget. Ask Recola questions about your saves, or have it plan meals or a trip from them. See every saved place on one map, and get a monthly Recall of what you saved and what you did.
Which apps does Recola work with?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, X, Reddit, Snapchat, Vimeo, Twitch, LinkedIn and Threads, plus Safari and your camera roll.
How is Recola different from Instagram's saved collections or TikTok's favorites?
They keep the post. Recola keeps what is in it: the recipe written out, the restaurant pinned, the film with where to watch it. It files every save for you, across all your apps, and lets you search them by what you remember.
Is Recola free?
Recola is a subscription through the App Store, weekly, monthly or annual. Every plan starts with a free trial: a week on Weekly, two weeks on Monthly and Annual.
Is Recola on Android?
Not yet. Recola is on iPhone today.
Does Recola download or repost videos?
No. Recola reads a video to pull out what is in it, then deletes its copy. The original stays where it was posted, one tap away, and nothing is reposted.
Is what I save private?
Yes. Nothing you save is published, shared or visible to anyone else.
Can I bring in everything I have already saved?
Not in one go. Instagram and TikTok don't let other apps see your saved folders, so you share posts to Recola one at a time, starting with whatever you come across next.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Recola.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. You can also email support@recola.app and we will delete it for you.
