Which apps can I save from?
Twelve platforms and counting — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, X, Reddit, Snapchat, Vimeo, Twitch, LinkedIn and Threads — plus any link from the web. If you can share it, Recola can read it.
What does Recola actually extract?
Ten kinds of things: recipes, places, workouts, films & shows, books, songs, outfits, products, decor and events. Each lands in its own tile with the details that matter — ingredients and steps, addresses, sets and reps, shoppable items, dates you can add to your calendar.
Does it really read the video?
Yes — the actual video, not just the thumbnail. Recola transcribes the audio, reads the caption and on-screen text, and looks at the frames. Songs are identified from the real audio, on-device, so a mislabeled clip still resolves to the right track.
How does shopping work?
For outfits, products and decor, Recola itemizes what’s shown and links each piece to a retailer so you can buy it. Some links may be affiliate links; the price you pay never changes.
What does it cost?
Recola is a paid app — $59.99 a year (about half the monthly rate), $9.99 a month, or $4.99 a week. Annual and monthly plans start with a two-week free trial. One tier, everything included.
Is my library private?
Your library is yours alone — there’s no feed, no followers, nothing social. Video content is analyzed by AI services to build your tiles, and we never sell your data. The Privacy Policy spells out exactly what’s stored and why.
When can I get it?
Recola is in the final stretch of testing and coming soon to the iOS App Store. Android is on the roadmap.
